City Theater Company chases away the winter blues in 2025 with Wild Party
Weekends! Celebrate our 31st season with us at two original works in our home at the
Delaware Contemporary this February 7-15, 2025.
Diva Baby Does Delaware struts into CTC for weekend one. Addie Montgomery, last
seen as the titular character in Hedwig And The Angry Inch, is back and performing as
her alter ego Diva Baby. She leads a bevy of beauties from the Philly scene to bring
some capital "D" DRAG to her native Delaware. This intimate, cabaret-style drag show
features table seating, an in-theater bar, and all the fab that will fit in the First State.
Murder Manor invites guests to CTC for weekend two. Kristin Finger, recently caught
stealing the show in Spring Awakening and Assassins, helms Philly's wildest improvised
murder mystery experience. These completely unscripted shows are inspired by the
game of Clue and brought to life by performers from ComedySportz Philadelphia, the
city’s longest-running comedy sensation. Expect hilarity and hijinks in an
audience-involved whodunit while enjoying table seating and an in-theater bar.
Artistic Director Kerry Kristine McElrone is thrilled to be bringing this pair of original
shows to Wilmington for the first time, as part of CTC’s commitment to producing new
works and fostering relationships with area creators.
Says McElrone: “Pub-style theater is a hallmark of City Theater Company, back to our
founding in the upstairs venue at O’Friel’s Irish Pub. Both Addie and Kristin are actors
committed to their craft in ways that echo our creative mission to foster a welcoming,
collaborative environment for regional artists. We are excited to once more be bringing
an outside-the-(black)-box experience to our stage this season with Diva Baby Does
Delaware and Murder Manor.”
Shows directed, respectively, by Addie Montgomery and Kristin Finger. Lighting design
by Jason Burns. Stage Managed by Stuart Thomas. Promotional art by Addie
Montgomery, Kristin Finger, and Joe Trainor.
